About Being You

Unlocking Every Child’s Potential

Empowering children to discover their unique abilities and thrive with confidence through our nurturing programs.

Every child is born with limitless potential waiting to be unlocked. As parents or caregivers, it’s our responsibility to empower our kids to discover and develop their own unique abilities.
The reason behind creating Being You is to empower kids and help them know their true selves. We’re all about celebrating and nurturing those unique abilities and empowering every child to be confident, independent individuals who are ready to take on the future. So, join us in unlocking the incredible potential within each child!

In today’s world, it’s super important that our kids feel comfortable being their authentic selves and can soar to their greatest heights. To make this a reality, we must equip them with the right tools, beginning right here at Being You. Our programs and training tools are designed to cater for the specific needs of every child across age groups, ranging from preschoolers to teenagers.

To achieve such set aims and goals, we at Being You have defined a six-step process keeping your child’s long-term growth a central focal point.

Step 1: Physical and Mental Health

At our centre, we help children better understand the need and purpose of taking care of both the physical and mental self. Trainers at our centre help kids understand how their bodies function and how they can maintain their health.

At the start of the session, we encourage children to take a few minutes to appreciate the following:

Thank different parts of the body for all the amazing things they do. For instance; thanking the legs and hands that help them move; their stomachs for digesting food, etc.
Such an activity helps children learn about the basic anatomy of their body and helps them realize why is it important to take care of every body part. It’s all about showing gratitude for our body’s hard work.

Soon After we focus on fun activities like yoga, stretching, functional training, and cardio. It’s all about fostering independent thinkers while staying fit and healthy.

All these actions help ensure that children from an early age are well aware of the importance of physical activities and how it can contribute to their mental and physical health.

Step 2: Gradual Progression of a Child’s Learning

The ultimate aim of the programs at “Being You” is to ensure that every child can go through these gradual progression phases and can become a “Mentor”. Such a transformation is made possible through the guidance of our enthusiastic trainers who possess a deep understanding of logical thinking, scientific developments and other effective ways to deal with children.

We at Being You focus on encouraging “Independent Thinking” traits among children, which helps evoke either a voluntary or an involuntary thinking ability.

Voluntary Thinking
Such children can control their thoughts and voluntarily decide where to centre their attention.
Involuntary Thinking

Such children often get driven by their surroundings or by stimuli that impact their minds. For instance, their attention might switch due to social media or any other media sources.

Such voluntary and involuntary thinking at an early age significantly defines the growth and development of the child, as well as how they perceive and see the world around them.

Action Plan at Being You

At Being You every action of ours is aligned to make every child capable. We need to teach them how things are made and how they came into existence. For such a learning: we show children that everything around them a part of science – the earth, materials, goods, smartphones, computers, bikes, and medicines. These experiences will help them appreciate everything more deeply, realizing they too can be creators.

We aim to create “Creators” not just mere consumers.

Unfortunately, children today are often exposed to material prosperity, and they see less of the natural beauty and life beyond material possessions. They need constant exposure to a wide variety of things, such as product manufacturing units, music studios, arts and crafts, acting studios, and technological spaces.

Being You collaborates with such units to provide maximum exposure to children, both theoretically and practically to help them become independent thinkers.

Our approach at Being You encourages systematic procedural learning, which allows children to understand the world systematically and scientifically. As a result, they are transformed into resourceful and confident individuals ignited by their curiosity and creativity, developing a deep appreciation for the wonders around them.

Step 3: Logical and Ethical Thinking (constructivism versus consumerism)

This step is aimed towards cultivating a sense of “How” among children.

To be an independent thinker, a child must perceive everything in the form of “How”. Like; how to grasp the inner workings of the world and how things are established. To encourage such a belief among children we provide children with hands-on learning experience.

By teaching farming, they get a deeper understanding of how food is grown and cultivated and how those delicious veggies end up on their plate.

Apart from this, we have created workshops that range from stitching to electronics to finance management and even craftsmanship.

We are passionate about instilling an understanding of processes, sequences and procedures in children, which are the foundations of a logical and ethical mindset.

At Being You, we make sure our children understand that life is a series of procedures as well as they appreciate the sequence of things. Whether it’s a process of digestion or a systematic approach to crafting, this specific attribute empowers the children to think logically and ethically enabling them to be critical thinkers. When children have a grasp of how things are done they enjoy learning as well as become more observant and develop into ethical thinkers.

But can children ever understand the concept of ethics and morality?

Being You addresses such a challenge flawlessly; instead of treating it like a boring moral science class, we teach our kids in the language of legalities. When the guidance offered to children is in the form of a blended logical and systematic manner, they can sense the true meaning or impact of any decision. Through our unconventional approaches, we aim to create a learning environment, where children can understand that everything is interconnected and interdisciplinary, converting their logical thinking into ethical thinking.

Step 4. Reasoning behind Mannerism and a variety of human behaviour (Coexistence Versus Interdependence Versus Mutuality)

Children are not only required to be aware of logical reasoning. When they grow they also develop emotions, and teaching them how to manage and control their emotions at an early stage can be the best way to prepare them for their life’s challenges.

When it comes to emotions, let’s consider “Anger”. Instead of simply telling children not to be angry, we should first explain why and how we experience anger. It’s crucial to show them the importance of expressing anger appropriately. We need to teach children to use anger as a last resort, not because of impatience but as a tool to address a situation. Such tools can help them understand that emotions are not illogical, but there is a logic behind every emotion.

Unique Action Plan for BEING YOU
We follow unconventional approaches to train and educate students and our approach can better be explained through the following scenario.

PICTURE THIS:

A child may act out and be aggressive towards their parents, but won’t show the same behaviour with their friends. Why? Because they fear rejection from their friends and crave their acceptance, while they may take their parents’ love for granted. If a child doesn’t feel accepted by their parents, it can be traumatic. However, if they don’t feel accepted by their classmates, the trauma runs even deeper, leading to a desperate desire for friendship and love from society.

It is essential to provide children with proper guidance and support to draw lines in the emotions they show towards society and their family members. Hence at Being You, we emphasize the importance of teaching children how to engage in different role plays with various people in their lives, such as parents, relatives, teachers, friends and bosses.

To achieve this, we have trainers specialised in theatrical arts, who will be working with kids and bringing out their emotions through role play. Being immersed in enacting and drama, kids will start to appreciate and understand their own emotions. This isn’t about training kids to be actors. But it is more about helping them grasp the logic and reasoning behind their emotions; transforming such an understanding of the “Why” (behind their feelings) into a tremendous learning opportunity.
Here we are helping kids to improve their communication through the power of role play.

Teaching Children Co-Existence/Mutuality/Interdependence

Coexistence involves respecting each other despite differences and disagreements, while mutuality is about enriching and empowering shared ideas. Interdependence, on the other hand, bridges the gap between coexistence and mutuality, focusing on working together and compromising to achieve common goals. Through such teachings, we aim to make sure that children learn how to work together, compromise within teams and understand the impact of their actions and emotions on others. Teaching these concepts and emotional understanding in a balanced and engaging way, helps children develop social and emotional skills, that benefit them throughout their careers and lives.

Step 5. Introspection and reflection (Revision with children)

Our trainers give each child small assignments that are either to be done individually or in groups on a weekly basis. While completing these assignments, there are chances they will make mistakes even after giving their best. This is when our trainers ask them to reflect and introspect their work. Such process focuses on:

How Did They Go About Doing Their Work? How Can They Improve Their Work?

These activities when performed for over a period, help children develop an attitude of cross-checking every action they perform. Such a mindset helps a child develop a habit of revision. Over the years such a habit of revision also helps them to reflect on their growth and development. Hence, this habit of revision turns into a reflection over the years.

At Being You, we have created certain parameters, to help children introspect and reflect better.

Did I follow the Instructions?

What did I use to get my answers?

How did I bring them together?

Did I do everything correctly?

Did I assemble everything correctly in order?

Such a learning of reflection and introspection also comes with other learnings such as honesty and sincerity. If a child has a habit to introspect every action then they automatically start making logical, ethical and honest decisions.

Through our actions we are teaching our children to look back at themselves and ask the following questions; Have they done everything right? Have they followed all procedures? Have they missed any sequence? Have they been honest with themselves? If not we ask them to go back to the procedure and fix it.

Life Is A Procedure Similar To Science Is A Procedure

Till they discover their procedure, life is an instruction they receive from someone. But if they understand their life without any instructions; they become independent.

Step 6. Calm leaders (Against Relaxed and Peaceful Individuals)

At Being You we are aimed towards shaping children to be future leaders.

To achieve such a long-term goal, we have created a talented team to produce top-notch content, collaborating with exceptional content creators and educators. We believe that when we strive for excellence at the top, it will naturally filter down to our children.

We want this culture and mindset to extend to the next generation, nurturing independent thinkers and inspiring future leaders.

Our goal at Being You is to ensure that every child who walks through our doors leaves with a personality that can help them perform their best in their future endeavors and personal life. We aim to foster independent thinking, helping with their intellectual and emotional growth.

This process would further complement their school experience helping children to become better students and academic achievers along with becoming independent thinkers and creators.
